What Did You Do Well In 2011?

this is from my friend  Laura Crooks. She is so smart and I luv getting her newsletters. If you would like to be added to her newsletter than please check out or go to her website http://youbloomwellness.com/.  I have learned a lot from her this year.  Enjoy!!!
As each year ends we are encouraged to look forward and make new plans and goals for the New Year.  Typically we start by looking at what we want to improve and what we did not do well enough this year.  I want to offer you a new way to do this; close out the year with a celebratory accomplishment list.
Carve out some time, get paper and a pen or sit with your computer (with your family or alone) and list all of your accomplishments, everything you did well, even the false starts count and the attempts that later fell by the way side.  Go ahead and brag, celebrate and take credit for what you did! You may need to think about how your friends would describe you if you have trouble congratulating yourself.  Here are some questions to get you started:
1.  Did you try something new this year?
2.  Did you notice something beautiful?
3.  Were you a good friend?
4.  Did you make someone laugh?
5.  Did you offer kind words?
6.  Were you gracious?
7.  Did you eat nutritious meals?
8.  Did you improve your sleep habits?
9.  Did you prioritize exercise?
10. Did you take some deep breaths for the purpose of relaxing?
11. Did you stick with a project to the finish?
12. Did you volunteer your time or expertise?
13. Did you step outside your comfort zone (or encourage someone else to do so)?
14. Did you make time to laugh?
15. Did you take time during the year to appreciate what you have and what you contribute?
16. Have you sincerely thanked someone?
No one expects your year to be perfect; progress is good enough. You worked hard this year, acknowledge it.  Now you can look forward and make plans for 2012 to be fabulous, too!
