Happy New Year
Hi My Blog Family,
2011 brought me so much.....Love, Inspiration & Lessons learned as I ponder all that has happened in 2011 (thank god it’s almost over, it was a very tough year, but I learned what a strong person I am), I'm grateful for 365 days worth of lessons, now I’m looking forward to another year filled with Friends, Love and a Fresh Approach in 2012 (only Big, Wonderful, Great, and Beautiful Things to come). I’m reflecting and what to say how thankful I am for what I have, so from me to you all who have helped me gain success THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. To all my true friends who have helped me and given me your love, you'll never know how much you mean to me there are no words but, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. To everyone who is going to help me push CASSANDRA'S FLORALS forward in 2012 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I want to wish that your every dream come true. That you find yourself surrounded by Friends, Laughter, and Good Times. I wish that your every cup runneth over Financially, Romantically, Spiritually & Creatively. That Good Health be your Faithful Companion, Peace Your Guarded Ally, and Love Your Perpetual Guide. When suddenly, it dawned on me that it is in each of us to grant our selves these powerful gifts. So I hope each of you reach down and understand that we have the power within to full fill these wishes, not only for ourselves but for others as well. I also wish all of you a wonderful New Year but more importantly, that you take one Day At A Time, Make The Most Of It, Make A Difference In The Moment, Make A Difference with a RAK, and that we each PAY IT FORWARD somehow. By doing this I know we’ll all have good days that will add up to a great year! Here's to 365 Awesome Days!

Perhaps a bit wiser,
a bit kinder, too,
a little bit braver,
a heart that's more true,
a touch of believing
I've not known before,
in joys I'm receiving
a little bit more.
A little more anxious
to reach out my hand,
despite hurt or problems
to still understand,
accepting the heartache
that life often brings,
a little more beauty
in life's simple things.
A prayer when I'm weary
as onward I trod,
a little more trusting,
believing in God,
'tis this I would wish for
within moments dear,
not a lot - just a little
this wondrous new year.

What Did You Do Well In 2011?
this is from my friend Laura Crooks. She is so smart and I luv getting her newsletters. If you would like to be added to her newsletter than please check out or go to her website http://youbloomwellness.com/. I have learned a lot from her this year. Enjoy!!!
As each year ends we are encouraged to look forward and make new plans and goals for the New Year. Typically we start by looking at what we want to improve and what we did not do well enough this year. I want to offer you a new way to do this; close out the year with a celebratory accomplishment list.
Carve out some time, get paper and a pen or sit with your computer (with your family or alone) and list all of your accomplishments, everything you did well, even the false starts count and the attempts that later fell by the way side. Go ahead and brag, celebrate and take credit for what you did! You may need to think about how your friends would describe you if you have trouble congratulating yourself. Here are some questions to get you started:
1. Did you try something new this year?
2. Did you notice something beautiful?
3. Were you a good friend?
4. Did you make someone laugh?
5. Did you offer kind words?
6. Were you gracious?
7. Did you eat nutritious meals?
8. Did you improve your sleep habits?
9. Did you prioritize exercise?
10. Did you take some deep breaths for the purpose of relaxing?
11. Did you stick with a project to the finish?
12. Did you volunteer your time or expertise?
13. Did you step outside your comfort zone (or encourage someone else to do so)?
14. Did you make time to laugh?
15. Did you take time during the year to appreciate what you have and what you contribute?
16. Have you sincerely thanked someone?
No one expects your year to be perfect; progress is good enough. You worked hard this year, acknowledge it. Now you can look forward and make plans for 2012 to be fabulous, too!

CASSANDRA’S FLORALS TOP 10 HOLIDAY ETIQUETTE TIPS TO GET YOU THOUGH THE HOLIDAYS….
10) Christmas Cards: When sending Christmas cards, remember not everyone under the sun needs to receive one from you. Only people you really love and know should receive a card. And just because you get one from someone doesn’t mean they should get one from you. Remember do you really love and know them & is it in your budget to send the card out. Any hesitation = don’t send.
9) Letters: Keep in mind not everyone needs that “yearly this is what we have been up to letter” tucked into the Christmas card. I’m sure your third removed cousin from your mother’s side doesn’t need reminded that they were not invited to the family reunion again.
8) Christmas Cards 2: Speaking of Christmas cards, again remember you’ll be sending them to others. Not everyone has your sense of humor. Three choices that will always be appreciated are… keep it classic looking, one with Santa’s or Snowmen on it & one that is handmade. Also keep in mind the message should be festive and short. Cards with jokes or so- so pictures are a big no-no. They should never have even made it out of the factory.
7) Fighting /Arguing: No fighting or arguing allowed at the party or dinner table. So don’t invite divorced couples, divorced members of the family & don’t invite your ex. It’s called divorce for a reason people. Plus not every member of your family has to show up either. If all they do is fight or argue with other’s, than let them stay at home.
6) Drunk’s: Guests having way too much to drink? Take their keys and call them a cab. It’ll probability save their lives and a law suit for you. Cab fare or funeral Flowers what do you want to spend?
5) Unwanted Food: When someone’s brings a covered dish that you were not expecting nor want, what do you do? Smile and say I was hoping you bring this. Never hurt anyone feelings during this festive day. And look on the bright side. When you pack up the leftovers, you’ll have even more to take the homeless shelter. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean someone else won’t. Just the opposite they will love it and really appreciate it.
4) Invites: Only invite who you really want to sit across a table from and give thanks too. Just because they are your in laws, sister in laws or a former friend, doesn’t mean you have to ruin your Christmas or theirs. May be next year they’ll get the message and be nicer themselves so they can be re invited.
3) When to buy a Gift: If gift giving with family (close or extended) is getting too expensive just have a grab-bag and stick to your budget limit. Buying for 1 or 2 is way better than buying for 30. When you receive horrible gifts, again smile very graciously and say thank you very politely. It’s not the givers fault that you’re a snob who can’t appreciate a gift in the heartfelt way it was intended. No matter how tacky it is.
2) Re-Gifting: Remember re gifting is a huge no- no. (see previous post on the only reason it is ok, there is only one people ) Think donation to a homeless shelter or a nursing home. Someone there didn’t receive a gift and would appreciate what you don’t want.
1) When to put up the lights: Don’t start decorating for Christmas till after Thanksgiving is over. Why you say. Well for starters Thanksgiving is for giving thanks not for kissing under the mistletoe and 2nd remember the magic of going to sleep after a big turkey day dinner and waking up to a beautifully decorated mall or home? Well we need to get back to that. The magic of the holiday that is called Christmas.
So if you just follow these wonderful, updated, and true etiquette tips. I’m sure they’ll help you get through this holiday season. Not following them could mean that with all that holiday cheer, will come holiday stress and unhappiness. I mean, when you have family dynamics, lengthy to-do lists, crazy family obligations , work pressures & Christmas brain you’ll want to do anything to keep your idea of Christmas merriment just right. Balance is everything and there will be heightened expectations from everyone. Show them & the world you’ve grown up & follow these fabulous tips. You’ll have them all guessing.

Want to be a little different?
Want to be a little different? Consider sending a fresh Christmas wreath as your corporate Christmas gift this year. Instead of giving the standard gift basket, mix it up a bit and send one of our decorated live Christmas wreaths. Combine the scent of real evergreens, an elegantly decorated wreath, and the fact the wreath will last the entire holiday season and what do you get... An amazing Christmas gift that will ingrain itself in the mind of your client for a long time. Centerpieces also make for a festive gift and go well in an office setting.

Make Someone Smile Today Is Underway…
Flowers can make anyone turn up a smile, even in the worst of times. Sending bouquets of these blooms is the perfect way to show someone they are loved and cared for, especially when they do not expect it.
“The world needs all its flowers, just as they are, and even though they bloom for only the briefest of moments, which we call a lifetime. It is our job to find out one by one and collectively what kind of flowers we are, and to share our unique beauty with the world in the precious time that we have, and to leave the children and grandchildren a legacy of wisdom and compassion..."
